	SwiftJPEG takes images lifted in your applications and compresses them many orders of magnitude smaller for ease of storage or immediate transfer. Designed specifically for Auto-ID applications, SwiftJPEG is capable of much higher compression than standard JPEG compressors while still preserving the critical areas of an image. Benefits Increased Storage Capacity - Increase image storage capacity on local memory by 20 - 30 times. Ease of Image Transfer - Images that were once too large to transfer efficiently over a network are easily delivered once compressed. Retain Critical Image Portion - Critical image detail, such as text and bar codes, is preserved for review. Fast Compression Times - Extremely short compression times make JPEG compression in high-speed applications a snap. Decompressor Compatibility - The compressed image format is compatible with all standard JPEG decompressors.

SwiftJPEG is designed specifically for high-speed Auto-ID applications where images must be small enough to store or transfer easily but still retain enough detail to be effective for operator review.

The non-critical portions of an image, such as the brown areas of a box, are identified and compressed at the highest ratios possible. At the same time the critical areas, such as the labels, are compressed at a much lower ratio in order to enhance readability.

For these reasons SwiftJPEG gernerally outperforms standard JPEG compressors with regard to compression time and compression ratio achieved. View the sample images below to evaluate the advantages of SwiftJPEG.
