SwiftDimension is Omniplanar's dimensioning software add-on to SwiftDecoder designed for non-critical package dimensioning applications on conveyors where a simple and low-cost solution is needed.

SwiftDimension utilizes existing industrial imaging systems used for bar code decoding to accurately provide two-dimensional measurements of packages without the need to add costly and cumbersome dimensioning hardware on a conveyor.

SwiftDimension works by taking a height measurement from an existing light curtain or other height measuring device and marrying it with the image of the package taken from an existing industrial imaging scanner. If these components are in place, there is no simpler and more effective way to add accurate dimensioning of packages to your AIDC system.

  • Length (L1) up to +/- 1/2" tolerance
  • Width (L2) up to +/- 1/2" tolerance
  • Orientation (Angle) relative to normal
  • Offset (position) relative to optical center of imaging scanner
  • Package height input from light curtain or similar device
  • SwiftDecoder software engine
  • Image resolution of 128 DPI or greater
  • Dark background
  • Greater than 1/2" seperation of packages
