Decode times are shown in milliseconds for Omniplanar and its competitors to decode the sample library of codes. The codes included in the presentation are at the top of the table. Competitors C - F were also not shown in the presentation. See testing details below for more information.
The listed times (in milliseconds) are the time that it takes for Omniplanar to process the entire image. Decode results are returned in less time.
The properties were set to only decode the symbologies found in each image. Besides setting each decoder to scan for bar code omnidirectionally, all default settings were used on each software engine including Omniplanar's.
The images chosen represent a balance of different symbologies and difficulty of decoding levels.
The images chosen were not hand-picked to give Omniplanar the best results. In fact the original selection which was randomly selected had to be thrown out due to an overwhelming amount of 'No Reads' by all competitive products. The library above was painstakingly selected to include a much higher percentage of codes that could be decoded by all competitive products.
All images in the table were cropped and compressed for best fit in the table.
